A giant day

Day 4: as we walked through the beautiful Cotswold village of Longborough, we have to give a shout out to the wonderful Longborough Festival Opera; their Ring cycle was one of the most moving experiences I’ve ever had in the theatre. Our Track of the Day is the arrival of the two giants Fafner and Fasolt in Valhalla, the home of the gods which they’ve built. I’m not suggesting that Paul and I are giants, and we’re not expecting one of us to kill the other, which is what happens in the opera - but we have walked 20 miles and now done 10% of the journey.

Carelessly we failed to bring our opera-going clothes, so here is a picture from a previous visit.
